How to Write SEO Content That Pays $250-$1,000
(or More!) Per Page

Hey there, it’s Rebecca!

I have an exciting writing opportunity to share with you today that lets you be a hero to your clients.

And pays $250 to $1,000 (or more) for each page of content that you write.

Now, in case you’re not familiar with the term, SEO stands for “search engine optimization.”

Put simply, SEO content is really good, unique, and useful content that ranks highly on Google and other search engines.

Why does it pay so well?

Well, think about how much you rely on Google…

Want to try a new restaurant?

You google it.

Wondering if a product you saw on TV is worth it?

You google it.

Need a recipe? Looking for a new doctor in the area? Not sure how to tackle a home-improvement project?

You GOOGLE it!

Google is so ingrained in our lives that we turned it into a verb!

And with your cell phone always within arm’s reach, you can google anything… anywhere… anytime.

It’s super-convenient for you and me — and the billions of other people who use Google every day.

And when we google something, we want to find the information we’re looking for as quickly and easily as possible.

But as a content writer or copywriter, it’s important to know there’s a HUGE business side to Google, too…

Because every website… every blog… and every other piece of content… is more valuable the higher it shows up in the search results.

Think about it…

Let’s say you just moved to a new city and need to find an eye doctor…

So you google “eye doctor near me” or “eye doctor” + your city’s name…

And if you’re like 75% of Google users, you never make it past page one of the results!

That’s why it’s SO important for businesses to publish content that can be found by people looking for information on that topic.

When you can write content that ranks high and gets found easily, your client will get loads of new prospects visiting their website and reading that content.

And when they’re not successful? Businesses miss out on all that free web traffic — and the leads and sales it could bring — leaving untold amounts of money on the table.

THIS is why they’re happy to pay writers like you so well for helping their content get discovered.

So how do companies get those coveted and highly profitable rankings that drive traffic to their content — and their business?

Well, it's simpler than you think…

It comes down to three key ingredients Google’s algorithms look for…

And once you know them — you’ll not only become a better content and copywriter…

You’ll hold the “magic key” every client wants — that unlocks an ongoing flood of customers, prospects, and leads for them.

That’s what I’m going to share with you today…

Using real-life examples — along with simple techniques you can inject into your copy and content immediately.

I should mention up front…

There’s nothing technical about it.

You don’t have to learn coding or computer nonsense.

At the end of the day, it’s commonsense…

Understanding what readers want and need to see.

And make no mistake…

Once you have this knowledge…

There’s not a company on earth that couldn’t use you as their content writer — and pay you very well for your powerful skills.

After all, it’s estimated that by 2024, companies will spend north of $600 billion on content…

Which means three things…

  1. The amount of content flooding the internet and competing for the first page of search results will continue to skyrocket…
  2. A lot of businesses will publish “invisible content” no one ever finds…
  3. And those businesses don’t just need writers to optimize their existing content so it gets more traffic…

… they need skilled writers to write a continuing stream of new content, week after week, month after month, to make sure their business consistently gets found by readers who are looking for it.

And since studies show 68% of all online experiences begin with a search engine…

While 67% of all clicks go to the first five results…

Having an SEO content writer who can help get the best ranking possible for every piece of content is more important now than ever before.

The results speak for themselves.

Take Apptega, a cybersecurity platform…

One of their core website pages was failing to crack the top 100 rankings…

But when they optimized that page, it vaulted to number three in just a few weeks.

This led to a 200% increase in demo requests. Or in other words…

It helped them TRIPLE their leads!

For a company that relies on demonstrating their software to prospects so they can make sales, imagine how much more revenue they’ll generate with three times as many opportunities.

Now imagine YOU were the one who made it happen — just by making some simple, commonsense changes to one of their web pages.

Of course, your results won’t always be this dramatic…

But ANY improvements you make to your clients’ search rankings — even incremental improvements — make them easier to find.

And when their content is easier to find, everyone wins

  • Your client gets more prospects in their pipeline, who they can convert into paying customers…
  • Readers searching for the information or services your client offers find it faster and easier…
  • And YOU get paid very well — anywhere from $250 to $1,000 per page being the norm — for shining a spotlight on your client’s “invisible content” AND writing an ongoing stream of top-notch “discoverable content” that gets found, drives more web traffic, and makes more sales.

It’s an incredibly fulfilling way to make a living as a writer.

You get to see the direct impact you have for your clients — and their bottom line.

And it’s easy for them to see why they need to pay you so well for your services.

Sound good?

Great!

But before I start sharing with you the secrets for getting better rankings for every piece of content you write or rewrite, there are a few things you should know about this opportunity…

The Better You Do, the More People You Help

As an SEO content writer, you’ll write (or rewrite) content that answers questions and provides useful information people are searching for…

Content that’s meant to get discovered through Google.

As you get more skilled…

Your content will consistently rank higher…

Which means you’ll help more and more people solve problems, find solutions, and get what they’re looking for.

Imagine writing a blog post about a health ailment.

Using your SEO skills, it scores a great ranking…

And a whole group of people who were suffering suddenly get much-needed relief when they discover the content you made easy to find.

Or you write a video script for the local dog shelter…

And thanks to your SEO skills, the video gets a good ranking…

And an organization that was overcrowded and struggling to find homes for the dogs they’ve taken in is suddenly inundated with adoption requests.

How amazing do you think that would feel?

Now of course, not every piece of content you write has to be so dramatic.

But by writing unique, authentic SEO content and getting useful information in front of the audiences looking for it…

You could help a sporting goods store sell more equipment…

You could get more schools to make field trips to the aquarium…

You could help a barber who left a bigger chain to start his own solo shop get it off the ground.

There’s really no telling who you might write for and how much good you could do by helping their content get found…

EVERY Business Online Needs This

As you’ve seen, SEO is incredibly important to businesses.

And most businesses realize this.

Just look at how much money they’re spending to get their content found…

The size of the SEO market ballooned to over $46 billion in 2020…

It’s projected to more than double to over $103 billion by 2025…

And then more than double again to nearly $218 billion by 2030!

This astronomical growth shows how vital getting found through Google is to any company’s success.

And thinking about how much the world relies on Google, it’s no surprise.

Consider this…

There are more than 8.5 billion searches on Google every day…

That works out to 99,000 searches PER SECOND!

Can you imagine?

With that kind of daily search volume, if you’re a business, you know people who need the information or products and services you offer are either finding you

Or they’re finding your competition.

This is why SEO is a writing skill EVERY writer should know…

… and why companies are glad to pay well for skilled SEO writers.

It’s Getting Harder to Land Content Gigs
If You DON’T Know This

According to salary aggregator Comparably, SEO content writers earn an average salary of $60,298…

While the top end of the salary scale is more than $109,000.

(Although when you’re getting paid $250 to $1,000 per page, it’s possible to make even more as a freelancer!)

But here’s the thing…

Along with paying very well, 56% of writing or “content” jobs now require SEO skills, according to technology firm Conductor.

So if you’re looking to write content, more than half of the available gigs won’t even consider you unless you have this skill.

That makes it easily among the most essential skills for copywriters and content writers today.

And as competition for clicks continues to get fiercer, it will only become more important.

But here’s the good news…

Writing content Google and other search engines LOVE is a lot easier than you might think.

Like I said earlier, it really comes down to three commonsense ingredients that will help every piece of content you write get the best ranking possible.

Starting with the most important thing of all…

  Ingredient #1:
Know What Your Reader Is Looking For

The first ingredient to writing content that gets found easily is knowing what your readers are looking for — so you can give it to them.

Makes sense, right?

Remember, people use Google to get specific information, or answers to their questions.

And Google LOVES content that gives them exactly what they’re searching for.

See for yourself…

When you google “how to treat tennis elbow,” this article from WebMD is one of the first results to pop up:

It’s easy to see why Google thinks so highly of it.

The headline instantly tells you this article has the answer you want.

And as you start reading, it talks about tennis elbow right away, then gets to the treatment options you’re looking for.

This is crucial for you to know as you start to write for clients…

Because you’ll be able to write helpful content that ranks highly as long as you know what their prospects are searching for.

Now, there are some simple tools and websites that show you all the words people search for related to any given topic…

And in a few moments, I’ll share with you how to get access to those resources, learn to use them, and much more…

But first, here’s another commonsense characteristic of content that ranks well…

  Ingredient #2:
High-Quality Information

The second key to writing content Google loves is providing sufficient clarity and detail.

Surface-level information doesn’t cut it anymore.

You have to go deep and offer the best, most comprehensive answer possible.

Here’s one of the top results when I googled “coffee health benefits”:

This article got on page one of the search results even though it’s not from a well-known source of food or medical information.

That’s because it’s extremely thorough. It goes on to list a total of 15 health benefits of coffee, and is more than 1,300 words in total.

Providing this type of depth and quality while giving readers exactly what they’re looking for is what great SEO content writers do.

Now compare that to this article I found on page 14 of the same search results:

Rather than including 15 health benefits of coffee, it only includes three.

But it doesn’t go into greater depth about those three benefits to make up for it. The full article is just over 400 words.

No wonder it ranks much lower — and as a result, will only get a teeny fraction of the traffic the first article gets.

Now, there are some best practices that will help you write high-quality content every time…

But before I show you where you can discover them for yourself, there’s one more commonsense ingredient to talk about…

  Ingredient #3:
Conversational Clarity

Google doesn’t want you to write for Google.

Google wants you to write for your reader.

And one of the most important ways you can do that is by writing clearly and conversationally…

As if you’re talking to a real person and trying to make sure they understand the information you’re giving them.

The higher the readability of your content, the more likely Google will reward it with a high ranking — and the better chance it has of getting found.

Let me show you what I mean…

This comes from an article I found on page 18 of the search results when I googled “best interview tips for college graduates”:

You can see this excerpt lacks clarity. It’s hard to even get a sense of what it’s about.

Compare that with this excerpt from an article that scored a page one ranking:

See how clear and straightforward it is?

A recent college graduate would benefit much more from these interview tips than from the previous article…

And Google knows that.

Now, let’s recap for a second…

Clarity, detail, and knowing what your reader is looking for — these are the “big three” ingredients of great SEO content…

But there are dozens of other little tricks and techniques top SEO content writers use…

And I want to make sure you understand them.

Because like I said earlier — content that’s NOT written with SEO in mind has far less chance of being found on Google or any other search engine.

But…

As a writer who can write great SEO content…

And can bill themself as an “SEO Content Writing Specialist”…

Now, let’s take a deeper dive into the full program…

Lesson 1
Your Big Opportunities
in SEO Content Writing

You’ll start out with an introduction to SEO…

Why it’s so massive…

Why it’s so important…

How much money you can make…

And how it fits into the overall marketing strategy of businesses.

Here’s a look at what you’ll cover in this first lesson:

  • The difference between paid ads and organic results — and the #1 thing that attracts those highly coveted top organic spots (and the customers and prospects they bring)…
  • Why the prevalence of smartphones has led to a mobile “micro moment” revolution…
  • 17 different types of “Stage 1” content in the customer journey that drive traffic, build awareness and leads, and are ideal for SEO content writers to write…
  • Different types of content deeper into the customer journey that can keep SEO content writers writing — and making money — indefinitely…
  • Three “productized” content services you can offer clients that are far better than charging by the hour — and potentially even better than charging for every page you write…
  • And much more!

Now that you understand the basics, it’s time to find out more about the inner workings of SEO…

Lesson 2
How SEO Content Works to Bring in
a Boatload of Traffic

In this lesson, you’ll go behind-the-scenes to see how SEO content actually works, and what Google does in order to rank content.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll learn:

  • An overview of the three stages of a Google search — crawling, indexing, and serving search results — and what Google does at each stage…
  • Why it’s so important to write “evergreen” content…
  • The core content page on websites where depth is less important — and how you can get paid extra by turning what is traditionally a single website page into many short, targeted, optimized pages…
  • Real-life examples of a top-ranked homepage and blog post — including all the elements that help each page earn top search rankings…
  • Why it’s important to create optimized content in all different mediums — including videos, images, sales pages, and even news items — to get the most bang for your buck on each piece…
  • And much more!

Once you understand how Google works, you’ll be able to give readers what they want and need while also ranking well.

And once you can do that, your next lesson will dive deep into two of the most important factors in SEO content writing success…

Lesson 3
For the Best Results,
Start with Relevant Keywords

Your mission as an SEO content writer, first and foremost, is to write high-quality, useful information.

It’s not to stuff keywords into your content.

That said, knowing and using your keywords is still of the utmost importance. They’ll guide you and shape the content you write — because they tell you what your readers are searching for.

So if you’re going to write “discoverable content,” their importance can’t be diminished.

In this lesson, you’ll learn all about keywords, including how to find them and use them properly. Take a look:

  • The first thing you should do when you want to find the right keywords for a new content project…
  • The one thing to keep in mind that most users are NOT looking to do at the precise moment they search Google…
  • What it should indicate to you when your keywords begin with “how to…” or “what is…” — and what you should try to accomplish with your content in those cases…
  • The difference between short-tail and long-tail keywords, and why long-tail are so much more valuable to businesses…
  • Why short-tail keywords are more challenging to rank well for — and why that doesn’t need to bother you as a content writer…
  • And much more!

Now that you know all about keywords, it’s time to start setting your content apart…

Lesson 4
Rise Above the Competition with SEO Content

No matter what niche or industry you’re writing in, there’s always competition for better Google rankings.

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to set your content apart — and vault it ahead of everyone else’s.

Here’s a look at what you’ll learn:

  • A realistic look at how long it takes for SEO content to rank in the search engines — plus the three key variables that play the biggest role in making it happen…
  • The factors you CAN’T control — and the one most crucial thing you CAN control — related to getting your content to rank well…
  • What to look for when examining your competition’s content that will help set your content apart…
  • A detailed look at a real web page that ranks near the top of the listings for its relevant keywords — including its SEO content strengths and recommendations for improving it even further…
  • A new twist on the old adage “Content is King” that will help you always remember your objective as an SEO content writer…
  • And much more!

Once you have a plan for getting ahead of your competition, there’s one more thing to get to before you start writing…

Lesson 5
Design a Keyword Strategy for Focused, Brilliant Content Ideas

Setting up a keyword strategy is your final step before diving into writing SEO content. This is your roadmap — complete with specific action items — that will tell you exactly what to do.

Get this last piece of the puzzle correct ahead of time and you’ll set yourself up for success with every client you write for!

Here’s a closer look at what you’ll learn in this lesson:

  • A look at the SEO Content Brief, which you can fill out for every client or every project and easily gather all the necessary information to write outstanding content with the relevant keywords…
  • Four ways to create a smart keyword strategy…
  • The importance of organizing keywords into content “clusters” and what it signals to Google…
  • A keyword strategy for optimizing core website pages, including Home, About, Services, and FAQs…
  • A list of common searches that will help you map out a content strategy or Editorial Calendar for the year, so you never run out of topics for blog posts or articles — no matter who your client is…
  • And much more!

Alright — you have your keyword strategy ready to go…

It’s finally time to start writing content!

But… where do you put the keyword?

How often do you use it?

How do you make it sound natural?

Lesson 6
SEO Content Writing Best Practices

That’s what you’ll cover in this lesson — the best practices that will help bring your keyword strategy to life in a compelling, engaging way.

Here’s a look at what you’ll cover:

  • The kind of content Google rewards, and the kind it devalues, as part of its 2022 “Helpful Update” — plus seven critical guidelines to adhere to this new update…
  • How to strategically place your keyword to give Google “hints” — in addition to the content itself — so it knows what your article, blog post, or web page is about…
  • Two easy ways to increase your chances of Google highlighting your content as a Featured Snippet — the most plum position you can get in the search results…
  • What to include in the meta description of the content you write (don’t worry, this is still just a simple piece of writing — you’ll never be expected to get into the backend of a client’s website to plug in information yourself)…
  • A cool tool you can use for free that lets you inspect the original SEO data of any web page and see if Google decided to change it…
  • Two reasons why putting the keyword in the first paragraph of your content goes a long way toward getting a great ranking…
  • Why there’s no “magic number” of times you should include the keyword in your content…
  • And much more!

Now that you have some best practices for your writing, let’s make this even simpler with some easy-to-follow writing formulas…

Lesson 7
SEO Content Writing Formulas and Examples

Writing is always easier when you have a “best practices” formula to work from. That’s what you’ll learn in this lesson.

This will give you a well-rounded understanding of how to write any SEO content your clients need. Take a look:

  • How to make a clear, helpful impression at first glance, “above the fold,” on any core web page…
  • The one big difference from most other business websites that a lot of local businesses fail to include — to their detriment…
  • Why it’s even more important for local businesses to have clear, helpful content appear right away on their mobile view…
  • A helpful linking tip to use when writing blog posts…
  • The two main things to focus on when writing or optimizing video content…
  • And much more!

And now for a project you might not be familiar with, but that you can get paid a great fee for — and that can work wonders for your clients.

Lesson 8
Beyond Single Blog Posts: SEO Magnets

With SEO best practices and formulas “in hand,” you’ll now be able to optimize just about any type of content.

In this lesson, you’ll pay special attention to a “super-sized” project that serves as a blog post of sorts and brings in an ongoing flood of traffic.

It’s called an SEO Magnet, and it’s essentially the ultimate guide to a specific topic — complete with relevant keywords, and “chapters” that answer the most important questions in detail.

Why devote an entire lesson of the program to this project?

Because, when done well, it can serve as the definitive piece on a topic — making a high ranking much more likely.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • How to use your keyword research to break down a topic into individual chapters — each with its own keywords that will drive traffic to this one piece of content…
  • The different options for structuring an SEO Magnet…
  • Examples that show how robust an SEO Magnet is, including many different elements you can include to make it a remarkable piece of content…
  • The benefit of an SEO Magnet to clients…
  • And much more!

Now that you know how to write this incredibly valuable project — which you could charge $5,000 to $10,000 for — it’s time to put all the formulas and best practices you’ve been learning to use in your own SEO content!

Lesson 9
Create an Amazing SEO Content Sample and Send It In for Professional Review

Now it’s time to write a great portfolio piece.

Once you submit your sample, you’ll get feedback from our professional review team. There’s nothing more valuable to help you get good at writing this kind of content fast.

To help you write your sample, you’ll get an invaluable 10-point checklist of best practices to use for every piece of SEO content you write.

This will also help you evaluate existing content that your client asks you to optimize.

Finally… it’s time to get clients who need SEO content NOW!

Lesson 10
Land and Win Over SEO Content Clients

EVERY client can use optimized content on a regular basis to attract customers and prospects.

In this last lesson of the program, you’ll find out how to find and land those clients who will pay you well to write and optimize content for them.

  • How to write your own SEO content that draws clients to you…
  • Examples of successful AWAI members using their LinkedIn profiles, professional websites, and content to attract clients…

  • What clients DO and DON’T expect from you when they hire you as their SEO content writer…
  • An eight-part checklist that will help you smoothly manage every SEO content writing project you take on…
  • Five questions to ask during the initial conversation that show you “know your stuff” and will instantly put your client at ease…

P.S. There’s still one more bonus I haven’t told you about…

It’s a special report titled “How to Crush LOCAL SEO Content Writing”

And I love this because local SEO is such a massive opportunity for content writers.

If local businesses don’t get found through Google, then they’re stuck relying on word-of-mouth… or people walking or driving by their place of business…

And while that can be helpful — I wouldn’t want to stake my business on it.

Neither would any responsible business owner. Especially once you share what you learn in this report about writing or optimizing their business pages, their entire website, and all their content.

This report will give you everything you need to do an amazing job writing easy-to-find content for local clients — who are often the most fun, most rewarding, and least stressful clients to work with.

You’ll get this report — along with your five other bonuses — when you grab the program now for just $497.
