Monday Morning Jumpstart –
What’s Your Definition of Success?

Watch Video

It’s so easy to think of writing success as hitting a financial goal. In fact, most new writers say their goal is to “make six figures.” But there’s so much more to success than money.

In today’s Monday Morning Jumpstart, AWAI Chief Success Officer, Ted Capshaw, and Director of Training, Jade Trueblood, ask you to consider where your definition of success comes from – and whether it’s truly YOUR definition of success … or based on outside influences.

They suggest that you find your own definition of writing success by first painting a picture of what you’d like your life to look like … then figuring out the financials.

Watch for Ted and Jade’s take on how to figure out what success really is to you – so that you can be sure you chase your own dreams – rather than someone else’s.

Join us every Monday Morning for a boost of writing motivation, plus tips and strategies to make sure you're staying on track and moving towards your goals all year.

  1. My writing skills range from technical to inspirational. This is my first time on AWAI. I am eager to see your processies, and what you can do to enhance my employment/independent contractor status.

  2. My goal isn't to make 6 figures, I just want to replace the income from my J.O.B. and be able to take vacations with my family.

  3. My definition of success isn't six figures even if I achieved that which I have in the past before deciding to write.
Success is live your dreams; My dream is to become a household name as a children's book author. I have already done and published. Working on six more in which five are already done
