I began studying Nick’s “How To Write Your Own Money-Making Websites” at the beginning of June, 2010, and immediately realized that I had done almost everything wrong with the site I had created. It was a clear example of putting the cart before the horse, as I hadn’t done any research – simply put together a site with all of my favorite things. But, how to fix it? After all, the site by now was hundreds of pages long, with almost as many topics.
Looking around the kitchen one day, I noticed the large box of baby socks that I had knit. IDEA: pull the baby socks pages out of the website and make it a site of its own; but this time do the research and proper set-up first. Would it really make a difference?
Even though the site was small, I launched it in the middle of June, and watched in amazement as the stats skyrocketed. It not only surpassed the main site within DAYS, it exceeded what even I considered to be an outlandish fantasy for results.
