is sure to elevate your writing skills seven-fold …

Plus, membership through this special limited-time
offer needn't cost you a single penny.

Dear Reader,

You probably carry a lot of cards in your name these days – credit cards, discount cards, membership cards, and so on …

But, I promise none will be so important to your ongoing success as the one I want to send you.

It's a card granting you full membership privileges within a growing professional organization especially for writers, called The Professional Writers' Alliance (PWA) …

Not any kind of writer, mind you.

It's for writers like you specifically – those skilled (or looking to be skilled) in the highly-lucrative art of persuasive writing

Through this Association, you'll enjoy full and unfettered access to a long line of benefits – each of them aimed at elevating your professional skills and offering you an invaluable source of ongoing motivation and inspiration each and every day.

You'll learn all that's new and happening within our exciting and fast-paced industry – including the latest opportunities to emerge from web writing, e-commerce, and traditional direct mail.

In short, joining this Alliance is the best way to stay up-to-date on what's happening in the industry – and the skills you need to grow with it.

And, it's not just copywriters who will benefit from this Alliance …

This membership organization is for anyone looking to resume, jump-start, or launch his or her professional writing career.

Whether you are (or aim to be) an ad writer, web writer, website owner, content writer, newsletter writer, desktop publisher, grant writer, researcher, marketer, or even a graphic artist – you are sure to benefit from membership in The Professional Writers' Alliance.

In fact, when you see everything that’s available to you – and begin to understand the enormous impact it can have on your financial and professional success … and then discover that membership in this organization needn't cost you one red cent …

Well, I think you'll see that joining up now is pretty much a no-brainer decision for you.

A Professional Association – Especially for You

Think about it.

Nearly every profession – from lawyers to airline pilots to plumbers – has its own professional association.

Joining them demonstrates that you're a serious and credible member of your profession – and not some "fringe" player or wanna-be.

But, these associations also exist for practical reasons …

To inform members about important changes happening within the industry … to educate when it comes to new and better techniques for doing business … to lobby against changes that could adversely impact the industry as a whole … to champion each and every member's opportunity for success within their chosen profession.

That's precisely what your Professional Writers' Alliance will be for you: a place you can come anytime to elevate your writing skills … bolster your confidence … and get the motivation you need to move your writing career forward each and every day.

In other words, "champion" your success …

But, that's only the beginning.

Since our Alliance members come from all walks of the writing and direct-response profession, we can answer (or find you answers) to any question you may have – about a project you're working on, perhaps … a specific writing technique … a suggestion for what you should charge for a project … even tips for winning over a potential client you'd like to land.

Members will also have access to a long line of the skill-building resources you need to build a rock-solid foundation in the highly-lucrative art of written persuasion … and ratchet up your writing and marketing skills each and every day.

You'll have access to tools and resources that will impact all aspects of your career – from acquiring new skills, to knowing where industry demands lie, to landing new clients.

You'll gain insights into the direct-response business from life-long insiders – and benefit from the invaluable perspective such knowledge can bring.

It's also a way for you to gain a high level of "preferential treatment" when it comes to plum writing assignments.

You'll have an unprecedented opportunity to have your name (and work) in front of influential people and clients.

And speaking of clients, your Professional Writers' Alliance will be the place when it comes to sourcing, getting, and keeping all the clients you'll ever need for a thriving and lucrative freelance operation.

Plus, many other member perks – like substantial discounts on services and resources you'll need, free online events, and special access to influential players only a group as serious and substantial as ours could provide.

I'll outline dozens of specific benefits of membership in this influential Professional Writers' Alliance in a moment …

It's About Time

But first, let me tell you why AWAI and its partners took this mission on.

You see, until AWAI came along 15 years ago now, trying to become a direct-response copywriter was a little like trying to break into a private club. No schools taught the kind of "long form" writing we do. It's almost like you had to know someone who was doing it … have them take you under their wing … before you could get anywhere.

Then, AWAI introduced its groundbreaking Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting and suddenly the closely-guarded secrets to writing effective direct-response copy were available to anyone who wanted to learn them.

For many, it was like discovering a secret little hidden corner of the writing world that nobody knew existed – where the perks, the pay, and the lifestyle shattered the image of the struggling, starving freelance writer once and for all.

And since then, hundreds, perhaps thousands, who use AWAI's resources have transformed their lives by writing from home, earning six-figure incomes … all while enjoying the freedom and quality of life no "job" can deliver.

So, while AWAI has played an instrumental role introducing copywriting as an opportunity for writers – and delivering the specific skills needed to succeed – there's still one barrier writers (especially new writers) often face …

And, that's access to the industry in general: access to the major players in the market … access to the latest skills and "what's working" now … and access to information and discussions about what's shaping our dynamic and fast-paced industry from one month to another.

That's where The Professional Writers' Alliance comes in.

It opens the door, if you will, to the entire direct response and "writing for money" industries … and lays at your feet all the resources, knowledge, and news you need to stay connected and up-to-speed as a professional direct-response writer.

Among the kind of access you'll have as a Professional Writers' Alliance member:

An Ever-Evolving Online Learning Resource

How will we deliver these benefits?

At the center of your Professional Writers' Alliance membership is access to a complete Online Success Center Alliance members like you can come to every day for all the direction, information, feedback, and ongoing education you need to advance your writing career in a substantial way – as well as get the motivation, support, encouragement, and inspiration that can really ratchet up your freelance success to the very highest level.

That's what makes The Professional Writers' Alliance so unique:

It’s strictly for writers who want to master the exciting and lucrative art of persuasive writing – and advance their careers in a real and meaningful way.

Every live event … every webinar … every article … every resource you'll have free access to as an Alliance member has been created to do specifically that, and that alone.

Through this exclusive membership program, you'll benefit from many experts offering up many copywriting secrets culled from many, many years of studying and dissecting some of the most successful sales promotions on earth.

And, it's not just the information we're delivering, it's how we're able to deliver it.

Unprecedented advances in technology allow us to deliver you valuable, "what's working now" information faster and more efficiently than ever before.

Ten years ago, for instance, if we wanted to have a roundtable session centered around, say, creating the ultimate headline, we'd have to arrange a meeting place and have everyone fly in.

But these days, with the proper technology in place, we can "meet" any time, several times a month – through an online webinar, a video conference … or a simple video we can post for you about a new letter strategy or a just-discovered technique.

We can simply log onto our computers, click on a video link, and presto – we're all together in a virtual room that's just like being there – where you get to hear and often see an expert presenter … ask questions … as well as have access to all the support material you need to make the learning experience complete.

A "Virtual Learning Hall"

That's where being a member of The Professional Writers' Alliance is worth its weight in gold …

Picture if you will a "virtual learning hall" … where the moment you enter you're surrounded by a myriad of powerful writing and career-boosting resources.

Step in, and one of the first things you see is a group of professional copywriters talking about crafting the perfect headline in one of their lively roundtable sessions – and you're free to listen in and ask any questions you like.

A few feet away, there's a place for you to submit your raw copy or a headline and lead idea – and get sound, constructive feedback from your peers and guest experts.

Further down, there's AWAI's ever-growing Tutorial Library where you can simply "punch in" what you need help on and get answers: tips for putting together strong offers … what you should say in your P.S. … how to write a great subject line, headline, subhead … advice for writing in a conversational tone, and much, much more.

Next to that is The Ultimate Clip File where you'll find a growing list of control-busting direct mail letters – organized by genre – yours to study, dissect, borrow from and, of course, be inspired by.

Not far away is The Professional Writers' Alliance members-only Career Center – an entire area committed to helping you ready yourself for the world of professional copywriting – everything from helping you create your own freelancer's website … to putting together a killer portfolio … to getting clients and landing your very first paid assignment.

And, speaking of jobs, you'll find plenty of them here – with real listings from real marketers looking for up-and-coming copywriters, marketers, and other direct-response pros ready to tackle a myriad of projects.

And, that's just for starters …

Within the walls of this "virtual learning hall" you'll find a never-ending flow of the latest ideas, tips, news, and information – plus "on-demand content" that will not only make you a better writer … but serve as an invaluable resource you can turn to anytime you need help on any writing task or project given to you.

The Professional Writers' Alliance is a resource any serious writer who wants a complete understanding of the writing and marketing process should have.

It's there to provide you with everything you need to be successful, faster:

The second part we call "Insights from the Masters" where we sit down and interview one copywriting professional each month about some aspect of the business, whether it be a productivity tip, some writing advice, or a business secret. Some of the names you can expect to hear from: Richard Armstrong, Mark Everett Johnson, Donna Doyle, David Deutsch, Paul Hollingshead, Don Mahoney, Dan Kennedy, and more.

Regular "Premium" Insights, Tips, and Strategies from Dozens of Guest Experts

In addition to "Ask the Experts,” we have all kinds of guest articles and video presentations from guest experts – on everything from how to write a powerful headline … to how to use your day more efficiently … to how to launch your very own direct marketing or information marketing business.

“I very much enjoyed the PWA interview with Richard Armstrong. It was probing, engaging and very useful for any working copywriter. You asked all the right questions and pushed all the right buttons.

So far, my PWA membership has proved an immensely helpful resource for me. Looking forward to much more from PWA.”  Lou Wasser

Alliance "Members Spotlight"

We not only tell you about other writers and Professional Writers' Alliance members who have enjoyed some recent success, but we give you some insights on how they did it. That way, it’s not only inspiring for you to know success is most definitely within reach – it's a practical learning experience, too.

And don't forget, smaller successes breed larger ones. That's why anytime you have a success you're proud of, be sure to tell us about it so we can feature you on our Member's Spotlight corner for all to see – including marketers looking to hire!

Direct Response Business Building Center

One thing we've learned after nearly 15 years of helping writers succeed is that some AWAI members have bigger dreams than just earning six-figures writing from home. A good number would love nothing better than to launch their own direct-response business – whether it be opening a direct-response arm for a business they already own – or starting a new one from scratch.

Luckily, a lot of the folks we know – Michael Masterson among them – have had plenty of experience launching successful businesses where you can use your persuasive writing skills to make millions.

And, we'll be sharing tons of information on it through our Professional Writers' Alliance "Business Building Center" – including tips for starting your direct-response empire with no cash … how to make millions selling other people's products … and the three most important positions to fill when putting together your direct marketing dream team …

Writing Contests

There's not a lot we won't do to encourage you to "write every day" and if it means giving away money and jobs to get you to do it, we will!

That's why if you love a challenge – and you're looking for a fun way to make sure you're writing all the copy you should be writing, be sure to visit our "Writing Contests" section often.

You'll find new and challenging assignments that can not only pay you some extra cash here and there … but win you a chance to write a dream letter for a major national client.

"First to Final": The Evolution of a Successful Sales Letter

A lot of new writers think professional writers simply sit down at a typewriter and pump out winning copy effortlessly, time after time. They wish that were the case …

In reality, every writer has a first draft he or she most likely would rather forget. But, it's the process from that shaky first draft to the final product where so many writing and selling lessons are learned. Which is why every month we ask a top writer to share this experience with you – by taking you from first to final draft – and telling you about all the handwringing and revelations that happen in between. When you sign up you’ll have a front row seat to all future First to Finals … plus access to the complete archives which includes in-depth analysis on winning controls from Jen Stevens, John Forde, Carline Anglade-Cole, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Nick Usborne and more.

There is no other online resource like this.  It’s a fantastic learning tool you can refer to time after time.

The Official Professional Writers' Alliance e-Bulletin

At least once per month, we'll send you an email news-bulletin from The Alliance alerting you to any news happening within the writing and direct-response industry you should be aware of … any new opportunities that have come up for writers and web experts … events, conferences, or upcoming online meetings we think you should know about … new resources and/or "expert faces" to be found at The Professional Writers' Alliance … guest articles … and much, much more.

Again, I want to stress this is just a starting list of the resources we'll make available to you as a Professional Writers' Alliance member. The Alliance is very much an organic organization – always growing, always evolving.

And, as members, you'll have a say in the content and the benefits we deliver.

Can I Afford This Membership?

Of course, with all these resources, perks, and benefits at your fingertips you may be wondering – what does it cost to join The Professional Writers' Alliance and …

Can I afford it at this stage of my career?

Well, that's where this idea takes a rather unique and exciting turn.

Let me explain.

If you're a business professional, you know how much professional business associations can cost to join – $500, $800 – even $2,000 per year.

The DMA (Direct Marketing Association), for example, costs $1,500 a year for an individual marketer to join and, although it's a wonderful organization, you won't get a fraction of the hands-on writer specific learning tools and professional insight The Professional Writers' Alliance gives you.

Naturally, the price you'll pay to be a part of The Professional Writers' Alliance won't be anywhere near $1,500 per year.

The regular price to join The Professional Writers’ Alliance is just $48 per month … but since you’re an AWAI member, it’s even less  …

You’ll pay just $24 per month, billed to your credit card, for as long as you choose to be a member!

Now just to be clear, that's not an "introductory" rate that will go up a few months from now …

When you come in through this membership offer now – that's all you'll ever pay, for life. Your monthly membership fee will never go up. That's your price for as long as you decide to remain a member.

But, here's the thing that makes this membership offer different from anything you've ever seen …

Use Your Payment as an AWAI Credit –
Towards Anything!

Every penny of the $24 per month you pay for your Professional Writers' Alliance membership will be "banked" in an account under your name … and set aside for you to use as a "credit" towards any AWAI resource you purchase at any time in the future.

We call these "Alliance Dollars."

So after, say, three months of membership – every penny of the $72 you'll have paid can be applied to any AWAI program, course, resource, or event (including Bootcamp!) at any time.

What's more, your "Alliance Dollars" never expire. They just keep adding up month after month after month, year after year – for as long as you're a Professional Writers' Alliance member.

But, it gets even better: Every 12-month period you're a Professional Writers' Alliance member, we'll add an additional $100 to your "Alliance Dollars" account – actual money you can apply to the purchase of any AWAI resource!

All this means, of course, that assuming you choose to use your "Alliance Dollars" on AWAI resources each year … your actual cost of joining The Professional Writers' Alliance could be as little as zero!

And, speaking of AWAI resources – here's another Professional Writers' Alliance membership perk …

"Surprise Discounts" for You Throughout the Year

For Alliance members only, we'll occasionally offer "surprise" discounts on specially-announced resources throughout the year – anywhere from 20% to 50% off the resources you can use to build your skills, grow your freelance business … and generate more income for yourself year after year.

These will be exclusive deals for Professional Writers' Alliance members only.

Now, before I invite you to click to the sign-up page and become a member of The Professional Writers' Alliance, there's something I want to make clear, something that I touched on before.

We Want Your Questions and Input

And, it's simply this: The Professional Writers' Alliance is your community. We value you and your input. While we're hard at work constantly bringing you information we know you'll need – we also want you to tell us what you need.

That's why you'll find prominently featured on the site a link where you can click and tell us what you'd like to see.

Want a special webinar on creating irresistible offers? Let us know and we'll find the right expert to bring it to you …

Need help writing the perfect close?

Want some tips for approaching a specific client?

Want to learn the secret to creating a successful online "talking promotion"?

Needs some tips on research … finding the right "Big Idea" … techniques for loading your ad with endorsements, testimonials, and other credibility elements when your client doesn't have any to give you?

Or, maybe you'd like to hear from a tax expert on how to set up your freelance business to take advantage of all the many tax benefits freelancers have. We'll get you the details.

Be assured: whatever you need, we'll put it on our list and do our best to bring it to you in as timely a manner as possible.

Something else to remember …

The Professional Writers' Alliance is an organic, ever-evolving resource. And, while we're committing substantial resources to making this the ultimate learning and success tool for copywriters of all levels, we're counting on you – its' members – to let us know how we can improve your learning experience.

If you tell us you want more video conferences, we'll bring them to you.

If you want added focus on getting clients, we'll get to work on it.

If you want more "hands-on" help crafting your letters, we'll find the people and resources to help you.

That's why as a Professional Writers' Alliance member, you should never be shy about using the PWA Member's Forum to tell us what you need. After all, at the end of the day, AWAI is here to help you succeed in your copywriting career. That's why we do everything we do. That's why we've created this Professional Writers' Alliance community …

As much as we preach against clichés in copy, I'll take the liberty of using one here: Your success is very much our success.

The reason we've grown as a business the past 15 years is because of our ability to help people like you transform their lives by mastering the lucrative and liberating art of persuasion …

And, I'm confident The Professional Writers' Alliance will only help you get there faster.

If you're already a working copywriter, The Professional Writers' Alliance will make you a better one … by arming you with a constant flow of the newest and latest ideas working in the market today.

Either way, there's no better time to dive head first into the world of persuasive writing.

At a time when businesses are cutting back, slashing jobs – the direct-response industry is booming like never before. So many business owners and marketers are learning what we've long known: that direct response is one of the most measurable and cost-effective advertising method you can use – and a personal persuasive letter is one of the most powerful selling tools there is.

Plus, with the explosion in online marketing – the demand for good, well-trained copywriters is virtually unlimited … and it's growing every day.

That's why – if you're ready to take a giant step in your development as a copywriter – I urge you to join The Professional Writers' Alliance today.

Not only will you have access to some of the most advanced learning and career tools any copywriter could ask for – you'll be joining an active community of like-minded peers, each benefiting from the others success.

And, don't forget …

We've done our very best to keep the cost of this professional association membership low for you – even mitigate the cost of membership for you entirely.

That's why every cent you pay toward The Professional Writers' Alliance will be "banked" under your name and can be applied to any AWAI resource you choose to buy at any time.

Remember, too, as a Professional Writers' Alliance member you'll be hearing about some "special surprise offers" from time to time … as much as 50% off selected AWAI programs.

I think you'll agree, it adds up to a very good deal – and an excellent opportunity to boost your copywriting career quickly and substantially … with virtually no financial risk to you!

So, why not become a member today?

One More Very Special Gift to Tell You About

But, before you sign up, there's one more very special gift I want to give you for becoming a member of The Professional Writers' Alliance.

In short, it's quite an amazing "cheat sheet" we'd like to send you. Use it and you're likely to knock months (if not years) off the persuasive writing learning curve.

Before I tell you much more, there's a little story behind it.

Years ago, when copywriter and AWAI Co-Founder Paul Hollingshead was first learning to write copy, he told me about one trick that helped him understand the copywriting process better than anything else.

Based on everything he'd learned at the time, he drew up by hand a quick illustration – a "cheat sheet" he used to call it – that outlined every element a successful direct-response letter or ad must have … and what each of those elements must accomplish.

It was pretty simple back then – a sheet of paper with four simple sections: Headline, Lead, Body Copy, and Close – and some bullet copy underneath about what each element needs to have accomplish.

Pretty simple, but he told me that cheat sheet was tacked to the wall beside his desk for the better part of five years – right up until he packed up and moved from Florida to Vermont nearly a decade ago.

And, every time he sat down to write a letter, he would refer to that sheet and map out his letter accordingly.

Fast forward to a few months ago, when I visited our Managing Partner and AWAI web expert Rebecca Matter at her home in Texas.

Now, as you may know, Rebecca's the person responsible for making sure AWAI members are at the forefront for the online copywriting boom – and as a result, she writes a lot of copy.

But, here's the thing.

Before coming to AWAI, Rebecca had never written a single line of sales copy in her life. She was a marketer by profession.

Now, I knew she had taken our Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting, as everyone who is hired by AWAI must. But still, I was always impressed (and a little surprised) by how quickly she mastered the whole "writing thing" on top of everything else she had on her plate here. It seemed no matter what we threw at her – whether a lift note for a B2B project, an article for The Golden Thread, or a landing page for Wealthy Web Writer – she was able to get it done and "on the money."

Little did I know that my trip to Texas would help explain how she did it.

Rebecca and Paul's Secret to "Can't Miss" Copy

Because right there above her desk was Rebecca's own version of "The Copywriter's Cheat Sheet" … just like Paul had all those years ago!

But, if you know Rebecca like I do, you know she never does anything "part way." Which is why her "Cheat Sheet" was much more elaborate than Paul's – and much more detailed. It listed virtually everything any copywriter would ever need to know to sit down and write a successful ad, letter, or website landing page …

In short, what Rebecca had created as a learning tool for herself was perhaps the most concise (and useful) summary of the most important copywriting secrets you'll find anywhere – organized in such a way that it's all there in front of you – as you need it – whenever you sit down to write a letter!

Which brings me to the point of this little story …

I want to send you the very latest version of Rebecca's "Copywriter's Cheat Sheet" – in a professionally-designed "wall poster" format we've designed and printed just for you.

I promise you …

Of all the tools and resources we offer you – aside from maybe the Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting itself – this one alone could very well have the biggest impact on your copywriting success.

Why?

Because it boils down the Accelerated Program to its "core" secrets … into a blue print you can easily follow.

It takes you step-by-step through the letter creation process – so you know exactly what to do at each stage of your copy … from the research you need to do before you start writing … to an attention-grabbing teaser or headline … all the way to a deal-sealing P.S.

As Paul would say, it's like having Master Copywriters like Michael Masterson and Bill Bonner constantly reminding you of what you should be writing next – paragraph-by-paragraph, line-by-line.

"Does your headline make a strong promise?"

"Does it communicate something of value to your reader?"

"Is it specific enough?"

"Does it say what it's saying in a new and powerful way?

"If not, don't you dare start on your lead … "

"Instead, try these proven headline formulas … "

We're very excited about this resource because we think it will make the learning and the actual "doing" process much, much easier for you.

And, before we offer it to anyone else for the $49 price, we'd like to send it to you at no charge … our gift to you for signing on as a member of The Professional Writers Alliance.

Back in April I interviewed Gary Chappell, CEO of Nightingale-Conant, and Sheila Lothian, Creative Director with Nightingale-Conant in our Ask the Expert series. Besides hiring copywriters for ongoing projects in the company, Sheila writes a fair amount of copy herself.

Her thoughts on the Cheat Sheet…

"I was sitting at my desk this morning, drinking in the wisdom on my AWAI Copywriter's 'Cheat Sheet’ along with my coffee in preparation for the workday ahead - just as I've done pretty much every morning since receiving it ... I snapped a shot of it in its prime location so you can see how highly I value it ... Kids' pictures, over on a shelf. To-do list, somewhere under a pile on my desk.  AWAI Cheat Sheet, front and center!"
