“Work with Nick. He will help you to transform your doubts into dreams, and your most difficult challenges into lasting, life-altering change. He will help you identify the potential in the marketplace and — more importantly — the potential in you …”

– Susan Rice

Finally Revealed: Self-Promotion For the Timid Freelancer …

How to Market Your
Freelance Business Successfully …
 … Without Using Hype, Manipulation,
Or Being Someone You’re Not!

You’re invited to spend 4 days with a top six-figure copywriter and learn:

  • Why you can attract all the clients you want … even if you’re naturally shy
  • How to market yourself in a respectable way that will put you head and shoulders above the competition …
  • How to earn more and get paid what you’re worth — while shrinking your work week, year after year
  • Why it doesn’t matter if this is all new to you and you’re starting from ground zero when it comes to marketing …
  • And much, MUCH MORE!

From the desk of top six-figure online copywriter, Nick Usborne …

Nick UsborneDear Reader,

I can’t tell you how upset it makes me …

… when I think about how many copywriters are not earning the kind of income they want and deserve.

They know they want to build their business, but have zero clue how to do it.

And the part that really frustrates me is that these freelancers have the skills of their craft down pat — and if they knew how to effectively promote and market their services, they’d be earning so MUCH more!

If you’re at all interested in learning how to earn more while working less as a freelancer, then pay special attention.

Because today I am going to share with you a proven approach to marketing and promoting yourself, regardless of your personality type.

What’s more, I’ll show you how to do this in a way that (I promise) you will find comfortable, authentic, and genuine. Stick with me and I’ll show you how …

How Come They’re Successful and You’re Not?!

I’m sure at some point you’ve wondered how certain freelancers are able to earn extraordinarily high fees, for doing what seems like the same amount of work you’re doing.

Think about it: What makes the difference between one freelancer who charges $3,000 for one project, while another gets $10,000 for doing exactly … the same … thing?!

Believe me when I say, it’s not talent or some mind-boggling level of skill. It’s something different.

What these freelancers have discovered is a way to show potential clients how valuable they are to them, which in turn, makes those same potential clients want to hire them — for far more money than they would spend to get the job done elsewhere.

In short, these freelancers have figured out a way to position themselves as the ONLY and OBVIOUS choice to solve their clients’ challenges.

For example, when a big, technology-oriented Fortune 500 corporation needs a white paper, they’ll turn to Gordon Graham — THE white paper guy.

He’s the top in his profession, having done work for high-end tech clients like IBM, Oracle, Google, and Intuit — all who happily pay his $5,000-$7,000+ fees.

Other writers may earn somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,500-$3,000 to complete the same type of project.

Alternatively, if any large company needs to train their staff in social media or needs a bit of help with their social media campaigns, they call on Mari Smith — top expert in using sites like Facebook, Linked In, and others to generate new business.

What’s more, they’ll gladly pay her thousands (sometimes tens of thousands), while other social media consultants earn a small fraction of what she charges.

When a large enterprise needs copy for their web pages, guess who they call?

That’s right. ME!

That’s because I positioned myself as the “go-to” expert for web copy for Fortune 500 and similar companies. As a result, I can command larger fees that most freelancers would have an incredibly hard time asking for — all while working less than a full 40-hour work week!

As a result, I became the obvious choice to write high-paying web copy for clients like AOL, Disney, Yahoo!, and The New York Times.

I’m not saying this to gloat. I’m trying to impress upon you how much marketing and promoting yourself effectively can transform your business and your income.

You may not realize this, but I HATE the idea of selling myself. I am naturally shy and telling strangers how great I am is not my idea of pleasant conversation.

But that’s okay, because I found out that you don’t need to be anyone you’re not in order to succeed and position yourself as a top expert. In fact, this approach works despite your personality. If you’re shy, that’s okay. If you love talking to people, that’s okay, too.

You Don’t Need to “Sell” Yourself

This is what I want to share with you … the approach to marketing yourself in such a way where clients can’t help but want to work with you — and pay you handsomely for the privilege!

This whole concept of “selling” yourself becomes null and void. Why?

Because you are the OBVIOUS choice for them to work with. There’s no need to sell. At this point, the discussion is not about why they should hire you … rather it’s will you choose to work with them, and for how much?

And here’s the best part: They expect to pay a premium to work with you!

Now, you might be thinking, “Gee Nick, that’s easy for you to say. You already ARE the web copy ‘guru.’ Of course this approach worked for you. I, on the other hand, don’t have all the advantages you have.”

Well, that’s not true …

Firstly, I discovered this approach when I was at a dark spot in my life and career. I had no special contacts and no future prospects for work.

In short, I created my success from a standstill.

Secondly, I’ve proven this marketing approach works with my coaching students. Whenever a slot opens up, a freelancer will hire me on for coaching to learn the very approach I am going to share with you. Many go on to succeed above and beyond their own expectations.

And that’s why I am so convinced and CERTAIN that this can and will work for you.

You CAN Promote Yourself Successfully —
Even If You Don’t Have a Marketing “Bone” in Your Body!

Over a period of just a few days, you’ll learn how to market and promote your services … in a way that feels comfortable for YOU. Not weeks, or months, or years — days.

Listen, for years I sabotaged my freelancing success because I hated the thought of marketing myself.

In my mind, it represented something I was not — hypey, pompous, and a big extrovert … But I still wanted the success I saw other freelancers have.

From that point on, I made a commitment to discovering ways I could achieve the same success by marketing myself — without changing who I was.

And over the course of four evenings in April, I am going to GIVE you the same exact approach I’ve used to earn big fees, working with clients that respect me and I enjoy working with, all while having more free time to do the things that are important to me.

Let me reemphasize that this approach works for ALL freelancers — whether you’re shy, extroverted, tall, short, green, purple, or anything in-between.

That’s because I’m going to teach you how to do REAL marketing — not just a one-off tactic that may get you business once but then leaves you high and dry.

Is This What’s Holding You Back
From the Freelancing Success You Deserve?

If you’re at all like most freelancers, then there’s a very good chance that the thought of marketing yourself is more uncomfortable than going to the dentist!

That’s a big problem — especially if you want to succeed. After all, talent alone isn’t enough.

If nobody knows about the great services you offer, and all the different ways you can help them, how on Earth will you get paid?

It’s hard to succeed as an invisible freelancer. That’s why promoting and marketing yourself and your services on a regular basis is crucial.

Deep down, you already know this. The problem is that the thought of tooting your own horn is uncomfortable.

I know the feeling …

You want to earn more money, gain better clients, and have more control over your income and life. And you know that marketing will get you there. However, the thought of doing that is so scary that days go by without taking action on what you know you should be doing …

Then those days turn into weeks … and eventually years.

When you look up and realize how much time has passed without any significant change, you may get frustrated — perhaps downright angry.

After all, why is it that you see so many other freelancers making so much more money than you are? Quite frankly, they don’t seem to be any smarter or any more talented than you (some may even appear to be less so) … so you figure you should easily be able to earn as much as they do, right?

But it seems like an invisible force is stopping you from moving forward.

Let me show you how to put an end to this once and for all — and show you how to have a successful freelancing BUSINESS by marketing SMART.

Bring Out the Best Version of YOU

This is all about showcasing the best version of who you are, right now.

That’s why I sound like a broken record when I say it doesn’t matter what your personality is or if you’re starting from a complete standstill like I did.

Are you naturally an introvert? That’s okay. Marketing yourself then becomes showing folks the best version of the introvert that you naturally are. No need to do a dog and pony show in the hopes of getting business.

Are you uncomfortable cold calling or trying to convince total strangers that you are the ideal service-provider for them? No problem. There are MANY ways to get a steady stream of clients and show them your value and expertise without making a single cold call or having the pressure of making the “sale” face-to-face. And I’m going to show you all of them.

Does the thought of talking about how “great” you are make you queasy? This is all about taking an inventory of who you are as a person … deciding on what you are and are NOT comfortable with … and then using both those advantages and constraints in a way that works for you.

Listen: Marketing does NOT mean beating potential clients over the head by telling them how wonderful you are.

" … He is just the kind of business coach who knows how to help you turn on the switches, process your fears, and move on with realizing your business goals."

– Rachel Agheyisi

This is exactly why you see “other” freelancers who are earning far more than you are right now — despite the fact that their skills may be on par with yours!

They’ve taken this approach and made it work for THEM. And you know what the nice thing is?

Once you know and understand this approach to marketing, your own sense of value will grow. You’ll be more confident as old fears just drop away … and you’ll step things up in a way you never have before. (Of course, the more valuable you feel and are, the more you’ll naturally earn!)

Over the course of four evenings during this upcoming workshop, I will share with you absolutely EVERYTHING there is to know about this marketing approach and how you can apply it in your business successfully.

A Rare, One-Time Only Event

Here’s how it works:

This is a “virtual” workshop.

Each evening, you’ll attend a session around 90 minutes long. During each session, we’ll cover the “theory” behind how to market yourself successfully in a low-risk way, and then we’ll have a quick Question & Answer session where you can ask me anything you want.

Before we sign off, you’re going to get a homework assignment to be completed by the following session.

Once you register for the workshop, you’ll be given clear instructions on how to log into the virtual “seminar room” with your web browser, along with phone-in instructions. (Again, don’t worry. You don’t need to be a “techie” to be a part of the workshop. The “virtual” format is easy to access and simple to use.)

We thought about doing this live and in person …

But, I am adamant about helping freelancers succeed. After all, it really DOES upset me to see how many freelancers aren’t earning what they are truly worth, just because they don’t know how to market and promote themselves.

And if we held the event live and in person, then there’d be a LOT more expenses to attend.

You’d have to spend money on travel, a hotel room, renting a car, and eating out.

So we scrapped that idea and decided to choose the location that eliminated all of that …

Your home!

And if for any reason, you can’t make it to any one of the live sessions, don’t worry. We’re going to record the entire workshop for you and give you access to the recordings once they’re ready.

Here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll be learning …

(Remember: You DON’T have to hoot and holler to let the world know you exist. There is a MUCH better, low-stress, and low-key way to do it. Please allow me to show you a better way.)

Session #1
Why You Don’t Like Marketing … and How to Love It!
April 16, 2012, at 7 p.m. ET

“Rather than worrying about where my next job is going to come from, I now worry about getting my clients' projects done! … You know, if I hadn't hired [Nick], I would be out of the copywriting business by now.”

– Katherine Andes

Our first session together is about showing you a different way of marketing yourself … one that you are COMPLETELY comfortable with.

You’ll learn how to view marketing in a whole new light, and why this different approach is so effective at attracting the kinds of clients you want to work with.

In all, we’ll be covering:

  • The NUMBER ONE reason why you haven’t liked the idea of marketing yourself — until now … and how to change it in seconds. (I promise that once you know this, you’ll see marketing in a whole new light … and you’ll actually feel excited about promoting your services, regardless of your personality type!)
  • Why choosing the right niche can make or break your marketing efforts. (It’s not just about being a specialist … there’s a VERY important psychological factor that will either work FOR you or sabotage your success.)
  • The single-most important key to getting clients to come to you! (This will FINALLY put an end to you being the one chasing down clients. Better yet, you’ll end up getting more business by trying less.)
  • How to avoid the stress that normally comes with “needing” to find work — and practically guarantees that you find marketing fun, energizing, and something you look forward to doing all the time. (This will give you repeatable and even predictable results in the most comfortable and natural way for YOUR personality!)
  • And much more!

By the time you’re done, you’re going to see marketing yourself in a WHOLE new light. Marketing is not a bunch of tactics you do whenever you need business.

On the contrary, it’s something fun and engaging that you do regularly. It’s kind of like fishing. Instead of putting the pole in the water whenever you are looking for a fish, leave five poles in different spots at all times.

That way, you’ll be catching fish on a regular basis. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if you find yourself actually EXCITED to start marketing yourself.

In short, during our initial time together, I want to give you a sense of what’s possible, and give you a burning desire to start seeing the success you can truly achieve for yourself and your career.

Session #2
Believe in What You Say … and Say it Well
April 17, 2012, at 7 p.m. ET

“During our first call, Nick asked a question that turned my cozy freelance copywriting world on its head. Because of it, I'm now carving out a one-of-a-kind niche that makes the most of both my skills and background … with total integrity … "

– Lisa Sargent

Here’s where we’re going to get our hands dirty. The whole idea of this event is that you will be taking action and have a tangible plan for moving your career forward — while being true to yourself and showcasing the best possible you.

And today, we will cover the “nuts and bolts” that encompass your marketing materials and strategy, including:

  • How to create a client-attraction mindset that works for you — and the lowest-risk strategy you can start using TODAY regardless of your personality type.
  • Why you absolutely MUST create a Unique Value Proposition (UVP) … and how to do it effectively. Clients will read your UVP once and instantly KNOW you are the freelancer for them.
  • The one thing that will separate you from all OTHER freelancers who are shouting from the rooftops about how great they are. (This is critically important to know how to do well, so make sure you pay very CLOSE attention, as this alone could boost your income this year.)
  • How to create confidence and belief in the services you offer … and how to convey that to potential clients. (99% of freelancers miss this one simple attitude “hack” and it’s why they are earning 10 times less than they could be.)
  • And much more!

This evening is all about giving you the “rules of engagement” … so to speak.

It’s like having the missing owner’s manual to a successful freelance business. You’ll know what it is you need to be saying to potential clients on a regular basis to get them interested and coming to you.

What’s more, you will only be working on proven strategies and a proven approach that works with YOUR personality.

Remember, the goal is not to turn you into a carnival barker. I hate that just as much as any other timid freelancer out there.

You are going to turn your perceived “weaknesses” (being TOO humble and not wanting to cold call and try and convince total strangers) and use them to your advantage — which will have clients respecting you and give you the confidence you need to charge what you are truly worth and for the value you bring to the client’s project.

Session #3
Push, Pull, and Engage Marketing
April 18, 2012, at 7 p.m. ET

This is NOT a Paint-by-Numbers Approach

Most advice on marketing takes the paint-by-numbers approach.

In other words, some guru gives you a process or template to follow. They swear blind that it worked for them, and all you have to do is follow their “proven” process … and then you, too, will be super-successful.

There is a big problem with this paint-by-numbers approach.

When you paint by the numbers, you end up with something that kind of looks like a great painting, but isn’t. It’s a copy. It isn’t art, it isn’t real. You’re just blindly following instructions.

It’s the same with marketing. When you try to duplicate someone else’s marketing process, what you create is not the real thing. You’re just blindly following instructions again.

There is no one-size-fits-all secret to successful marketing. If there were, we would all be six-figure copywriters. Sure, there are best practices, but the “work of art” that represents YOUR way of marketing needs to be unique to YOU. It has to fit your personality, and your own values.

The approach I’ll be teaching will help you create your own, original work of art … a unique way to market your business that works specifically for YOU.

By tonight, you’ll have ALREADY taken one or two steps towards marketing yourself. You will see the power behind this approach. More importantly, you are going to love it!

Tonight, we’ll delve further into the nuts and bolts of marketing yourself and then hold a Question & Answer session and discuss anything that came up from yesterday.

This approach is simple, elegant, and highly effective. Tonight we’ll cover:

  • Why “selling” as you know it is dead … and how to stop worrying about asking a client if they want to do business with you. (What you should do instead will completely shock you. It’s completely different from anything you’ve heard, yet it works almost like magic.)
  • The importance of relationship-building and why you are NOT in the copywriting business — you are in the business of creating connections with potential clients. (People like doing business with those they know, like, and trust … this is HOW you get to that point with your ideal clients.)
  • The 80/20 rule that will absolutely STUN and SHOCK you! (Do you know WHY those six- and seven-figure freelancers don’t work as much as you? This 80/20 principle is their “secret” … and when you find out what they do with 80% of their time, you’ll never see your business the way you do now.)
  • How to bring potential clients into your world through low-key engagement marketing strategies. (This is how you avoid cold-calling and all that other uncomfortable stuff that comes with the typical thoughts of marketing yourself.)
  • And much more!

You’ll be a marketing ninja by the time I’m done with you this evening.

What’s more, you’ll find a new appreciation for marketing and see it for the game it truly is … and how it can serve as an opportunity to let your clients know you exist in an authentic, honest, and confident way.

Better yet, you’ll now know exactly how to bring out and showcase the best version of yourself possible. In fact, you’ll now know how to bring out the most profitable you!

Session #4
Build Your Perceived Value and the Money Will Follow
April 19, 2012, at 7 p.m. ET

By now you should know what you are doing and how to get good at that. Today, we’ll recap what we’ve learned, and you’ll have an opportunity to ask me anything you want.

I’ll also go over any stumbling blocks or issues you’ve encountered during the course of the assignments I’ve given you.

We’ll also make sure to cover:

  • How to practice “value-pricing” and become comfortable asking for higher fees. (This alone could boost your income immediately, once you know what to say and how to say it.)
  • The “performance art” of being a successful freelancer … and how to wear the many different hats required to build a thriving freelance business. (This is one of those mental “reframes” that completely changes the way you view things and lets you do things that you will be amazed and proud of!)
  • A simple way to establish your core expertise in your niche, and then position yourself as the only logical choice for your potential clients. (This is key to becoming a high-earner while working less.)
  • How to motivate yourself and keep going when the going gets tough. (Even though you’ll most likely have a blast doing this, there will be ‘those’ days where you need a kick in the pants. Here’s what to do … )
  • And much more!

By the time we’re done, you won’t be the same — neither will your career. You’re going to have so much more freedom. A lot more time. And so much more of everything you want — all because you are NOW marketing yourself with confidence and dignity!

I’ll Be With You for the Next 90 Days

Have Questions? Let Me Answer Them Right Here

If at any point you have a question for me, feel free to ask, okay?

I’ve set up a “comments” section at the bottom of this page. Just leave your question or comment there and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Once our time together at the virtual workshop is over, that’s not the end of your marketing training …

 … It’s just the beginning!

That’s because I’m not just going to throw you to the wolves.

As soon as you register for the workshop, you’re going to have access to an exclusive, members-only online community. It’s a place where you can ask questions, share your success stories, get help with any challenges you’re facing, and more.

I’ll be active in the community as well, answering any questions you might have concerning this approach, along with anything else you may need help with.

Bottom line: You DON’T have to go through this journey alone, like I did back when I got my career up and running.

In fact, in addition to the exclusive members-only access to the community, we’re also going to have monthly “checkpoints” to assess your progress.

Our first checkpoint will be 30 days from the end of the workshop.

The second will be 30 days after that (or 60 days from the end of the workshop).

The third and final checkpoint will be a full 90 days after the end of the workshop.

During these check-ins, we’ll get on a webinar together and go over all the action steps you’ve taken so far to build your business and improve your marketing. Feel free to ask questions, get help with any stumbling blocks, and get some extra insights that can make your journey smoother.

Make a LOT More Money with Your Freelancing Business
(And Still Have a Life With Plenty of FREE Time!)

I have never done an event like this before — where I pull up the curtain and show other freelancers exactly how it is that I command the fees I do, without “selling” myself.

I am literally giving you the blueprint to take you from $0 to whatever figure makes you feel excited, alive, and valuable.

This is also the same strategy the BIG six- and seven-figure earners used to get where they are and stay there.

It’s scalable to however far you want to take it.

Now, if we were doing this event live and in person, as I mentioned earlier, there would be a lot more expenses involved …

For starters, AWAI would have to rent a meeting space at a hotel, pay me to fly out to the event location, and put me up in a hotel.

Because of this, the registration fee for this event — if it were live — would most likely be around $2,000 to attend.

Then, you would need to add in travel expenses, hotel, and food. The money adds up quickly.

Fortunately, we’re doing this “virtually” so there’s no need to worry about taking time off work, leaving family behind, or waiting in long lines at the airport.

You can participate from the comfort of your own home. Pour yourself a glass of your favorite beverage, take a seat, and you’re good to go!

And as far as the registration fee?

Well, since we’re not having to rent a meeting space at a hotel, and AWAI doesn’t have to pay to fly me out to a location, and put me up in a hotel … you won’t have to pay anywhere near $2,000 to attend.

You won’t even have to pay $1,000. We’ve made this as affordable as we possibly can — for those serious freelancers who are ready to take their business to the next level.

You can attend the How to Love Marketing Your Freelance Business virtual workshop for just $397.

Order Today!

That includes:

  • All four evenings where we will cover the exact, step-by-step list of actions you will need to take to market yourself with confidence, and in a way that works for your personality.
  • Access to the online, members-only community where you can get feedback, ask questions, receive guidance, celebrate your BIG wins, and so much more.
  • Follow-up webinars where we will check in and see how you’re doing at the 30-, 60-, and 90-day marks. Feel free to ask questions, bring any marketing materials you want feedback on, and more.
  • 24/7 access to the online recording of the virtual workshop so you can review the material as often as you want, or whenever you need a quick refresher.

Because I am serious about helping you get your marketing and promotion handled, we ARE limiting attendance to just 250 freelancers. I want to be there for you and available via the community and even direct email. I would not be able to do that effectively with more than 250 people.

So if you think this is for you, I recommend you sign up immediately. Over 100,000 freelancers are being given the opportunity to sign up, so spots won’t be open for very long.

This could be the best investment you make in yourself this entire year.

Considering this is the “map” you need to take yourself from where you are now to where you want to be financially and in your life, I’d say it’s quite the bargain.

I had to literally spend years refining this system, making mistakes, and suffering a few embarrassing “failures” to get it to where it is now. You benefit from all that experience so you don’t have to go through all the bumps and have a smoother ride to the top!

“What If I Feel I’m Not Ready Or Too Scared?”

" … I had been floundering around without a clear mission, taking any job that crossed my desk regardless of how it fit with my strategic goals, which left me feeling tired, anxious, and even resentful. Nick’s helped me change that … This brings me immense confidence and a sense of peace that I was missing before. My family and I thank you, Nick."

– Elizabeth Carter

This is by far the biggest objection I hear from freelancers who WANT to change … KNOW they need to change … but for whatever reason are still feeling “stuck.”

If that’s you, pay special attention.

There is NEVER a right time. I am almost 100% certain that you are ready now. I have yet to meet someone who feels this way who did not succeed after moving past the fear and following the instructions I gave them.

The truth is that if you’ve made it this far, and are still reading, you ARE ready. Let me prove it to you.

Sign up for the workshop. Attend the first two nights. If you still feel like the information you are learning won’t apply to you, or still seems “too far out there,” then let me know and I will see to it that you get a full refund.

I am confident the material on marketing I am going to present to you in April can literally change your life for the better, which is why I am willing to make such a bold promise.

The only thing that will hold you back is fear. And I will help you address that.

Once you see how simple and low-risk the methods I teach are, you’ll finally start believing that you CAN do this. And believe me, you can. It’s not rocket science. It’s just a simple approach you need to take. Put one foot in front of the other and you’ll get to where you want to be!

So go ahead and register today … you’ve got nothing to lose.

Who Will You Be 3 Months From Now?

Humor me for just a moment and picture what you want your career to look like three months from now.

Maybe you’d like to be on your way to boosting your fees, landing more client projects, and working less. Maybe you just want to increase your income by an extra $1,000 per month.

Or, maybe you want a whole new set of clients you actually enjoy working with!

Now you have a choice to make.

  1. You can register for the virtual workshop, apply yourself, and make it happen with the knowledge and game plan you’ll receive.
  2. You can keep doing what you’re doing now.

One path will lead to the life you’ve just pictured. The other?

Well, let’s just say it will be more of the same … no forward momentum.

It’s my belief you already have the courage to take that first step towards a new life, a new career. Let me help you with the rest.

You DESERVE it. =)

One more thing … if you have ANY questions at all … please feel free to ask below in the comments section. I’ll get back with you with an answer as quickly as I can.

Feel free to ask anything if you are unsure, or think of something that hasn’t been covered here.

To your success,

Nick Usborne

P.S. IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ: This event is a one-time only event, limited to just 250 freelancers. Considering over 100,000 freelancers are being made aware of this virtual workshop, I’d say that if you are serious about getting your career moving, get started today before it’s too late!

  2. Can you please tell me what time the sessions will be held, and in what time zone? Thx.

  3. I'm definitely interested in writing, but have most of the symptoms of writer's pre-freeze. Wonder what I'd be marketing. I have an aversion to those run-on letters that continually show up in my email. They agrishate the vit out of me and I don't really like the idea of sending them to others. Is there still room somewhere in the writer's world for such as I?

  7. Hi Nick,

What overlap, if any, is there between this Webinar series and your Profitable Freelancing program?

  8. It seems to me that the content you'll share on these webinars will be perfect for helping me promote my client's services. After all, if the strategies work for me they'll work for people who hire me. Maybe I'll niche myself as a web marketer who helps other consultants market their services using the material from these webinars as my guide. Does this sound feasible?

  9. Nick---I am about to retire from doing speech pathology in schools. I want to do this, but wonder about its affect on my Social Security. Do you know if it would be a problem?

  11. I'm very interested in taking this program but am in the midst of a 10-week online copywriting program. Will you be offering this program in the near future?
Please let me know at katrina at ptd.net.

  12. Hi Nick, Barb Hume here, Director of AWAI Member Services. I’ve received some questions from members over the phone, and thought you could answer here for the benefit of everyone…

    1. I really think this can help me. But it still feels scary. I haven’t even landed my first client yet. What do you suggest?

    2. how long did it take you to see some success with this same approach when you first started out?

    3. I don’t live in the U.S. Will your method still work overseas? I live in the UK.

    4. How long do you think it will take to get the “hang” of what you’ll be covering?

  14. If you make so much money, then why do you charge for your workshop and advice. Honestly, I didn't even read past the part where a fee became involved. I'm not looking for get rich quick, I just want a business based on community, goodwill, and helping my fellow man; making money, although the ideal outcome, comes secondary. (When) I'm in the position you're supposedly at I'll be giving my advice away for free, because I won't need to milk my neighbors of their HARD earned money in order to succeed. All I want is to fullfill my American Dream so that I'm better able to help others fullfill their own!! Shame on you.

    Sincerely disappointed,

Ryan Matthew Harker, Independent Author, Freelance Publisher.

P.S. You and your associates should be ashamed of yourselves. (Especially if you 'TRIM' this comment)

  15. I don't have a specific niche yet, and am just getting my first business client. Also, I am not a good web designer and can't spend a lot of money getting a website designed to promote me.

I do have lots of writing experience, just not in copy writing. Can I still benefit from your workshop?

    Thanks.

  16. I guess I'm with the minority here. I have been a member for several years and still can't afford to buy any of this stuff. I live on a very limited income and there is often some month left at the end of the money. My monthly food bills are about the same as the tuition to this event. That's it there isn't any money for success. We will just have to find the free stuff and hope we last. After we become successful we will be able to sign up to learn.

  17. If we have ideas for a "dream client" we'd like to target, will this webinar series help us know how to approach that business/marketing director? Thanks for your time.

  18. Hi Nick! I have to say, I am drawn to the approach you seem to be taking here, in regards to authenticity in self representation. I became very excited and "sold" on the idea (via AWAI) of doing freelance internet research as a support service for copywriters. I have been following closely the blueprint from AWAI and putting myself out there. And people ARE responding, which is wonderful! But, they are telling me: no thank you, they do all thier own research. So my questions to you are: 1)would your course help me as a freelance internet researcher? and 2), honestly, do you, as a master copywriter, personally think there IS a real market for this work?

  19. Hi Nick!

I would dearly love to attend your 4-day virtual workshop, but I have a HUGE problem - I'm virtually deaf.Audio and video are done more and more on the web and I increasingly find myself excluded from valuable info. Is there any way that this can also be made available in print for people like me(and there are MANY more I'm sure). I'm currently doing AWAI's 6-figure copywriting course and definitely have plans to go into a freelancing cpoywriting career. So, I SOOOO need this info. Can u help?

    Elmarie

  20. Your latest news sounds great. I do already have Profitable Freelancing ==through my membership in Circle of Success. Is there any break for me? I was charged $198.

  21. Is a payment plan an option? I'm just getting started and am putting a lot into training, set up etc. It would really help out!! I do desire to attend and use the recordings.

  22. Nick, hi. I don't know if you can help or not. My background is agency, small and large multinational - writer/strategist/C.D. at O&M. My specialty was broadcast - tv/radio - which lead me to writing/producing/directing my client's commercials. I did this for nearly 20 years. (It's a long story.) My question to you Nick is will your course help a creative hybrid like myself identify niches that could benefit from my experiences and... ways to approach them without appearing as some blowhard?

    NormS

  23. Hi Nick, It's obvious that you are an amazing copywriter based on what was sent. I am only able to attend these lessons on line for about a half hour. I have small children and they are quite demanding at night.
What I will do is purchase the CD of the event when it is finished. I'm sure it will be great. Thank you very much. Mindy

  24. Hi Nick

That is the best news ever! Thanks and also thank Rebecca matter for me. Have a great webinar!

  25. Being a newbie to copywriting and being that ive already invested money into several of AWAI's programs--I wouldn't be able to afford this package till I've completed several jobs. With that said, I truly hope these sessions will be recorded and made readily available to purchase in the near future.
    Thanks, Amelie

  27. Oh my goodness, I am determined to make my switch from my current life (where I literally work 80 hours per week for a survival income) to a normal 40 hours, or less, doing research for writers, and making a livable income! Not having found my first client yet (though copywriters have been friendly, at least), I am nervous that perhaps I have already gone out on a limb money wise, with my IRS training program w AWAI and my website, so hard to know if this additional program will make a practical difference and pay for itself, especially as I have to take (unpaid) time off of my job to attend this program online. Given that the economy and life have decimated our resources, this is a big investment for me. What to do...

    Guest (matsonperry)

  28. I am in the process of doing the online course with Rebecca and Katie. I am behind with my assignments. Do you think it is advisable for me to do this course with you?

    Lorna Barnett

  29. Nick, How do you position yourself to be an expert in your field when you are a new copywriter, no one knows who you are and you don't know anyone at all?
That seems impossible to me unless you have friends or colleagues in the business who can give you a recommendation, a testimonial or introduce you to people who can give you those things.

I have wanted to take the 6 figure copy course for a couple of years but I just don't see how this can work. So I have put it off mainly because I HAVE to do something to make a living online but if I choose wrong, I will never have the money to choose anything else.
Copywriting is the one thing I am passionate about.
But like I said, I have one chance financially. It is so scary for me.

    Thanks for your help

  30. Can I buy the CD recordings at a later stage as I cant buy the webinar now. How long before I cant buy them at all?

    Ros

  31. Hi Nick:
I'm definitely interested in the recording of the course later. It works better for me to study and read on my own because of eye stress watching the computer screen so long.

  32. Hi Nick...i was quite impressed with your response to tammy's quetion because here apprehension kind off struck a cord with me.although i am not a passionate and avid writer i beleiver it can be cultivated and nurtured.right now i am just getting started and still wondering where i will get the money to finance this endeavour i have embrked upon.
