Special Alert:
AWAI’s “March Madness” Bullet Challenge
Here’s How You Can Earn
Some Fast Cash by March 31, 2008
Dear AWAI Member,
In yesterday’s issue of The Golden Thread, I promised you an opportunity to write some attention-grabbing bullets for AWAI – and get paid for them!
So, what do you say? Are you game?
If your answer is “yes,” here’s what I suggest you do:
- Grab your copy of the Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copywriting.
- Print out Guillermo’s article from yesterday’s issue – “Fake Cocaine and Other Secrets of the World’s Greatest Bullet Writers.”
- Think about all the benefits of becoming an AWAI-trained copywriter: the great lifestyle … the freedom that comes with being your own boss … the power of the individual secrets (or the collection as a whole) … the ability to make as much money as you need … whatever you think are the strongest, most compelling reasons to become a copywriter.
Keep in mind the formats Guillermo described:
- Complete Secret Bullets – Those that tease the reader into wanting more by withholding the entire secret. No part of the secret is exposed, and the reader has no idea how it works.
(Example: Escape the rat race for good…and never deal with dreadful commutes, tyrannical bosses, petty office politics, or shaky job security…once you discover the proven secrets to writing a letter like this one.)
- Semi-Secret Bullets – Those that tease the reader into wanting more by giving away only part of the secret. Now that the reader knows part of what the secret is, he desperately wants to know the rest of it.
(Example: Headlines are the key to creating successful sales letters. You can have a winning package on your hands, but if the headline isn’t “just right” it can become a flop. Once you discover Michael’s personal “4 U’s” technique, you’ll be writing top-notch headlines that are ready to go up against even the fiercest competition… every single time.
- Total Revelation Bullets – These bullets give your prospect a direct benefit. They don’t hide anything, and their purpose is to transform any feature into a benefit that your prospect wants.
(Example: Never run out of ideas, or inspiration – You’ll receive your very own Hall of Fame Book, containing over 300+ pages of the best sales letters of all time. Plus, master copywriter John Forde gives you the inside scoop on what makes each letter work… so you can use the same ‘winning’ secrets on your next assignment.)
- Then, start writing!
- Send your best bullets (as many as you like) to me at kyeakle@awaionline.com by March 31, 2008. Be sure to include your contact information (name, phone number, email address) in your email.
The marketing team and I will go through all submissions and pick out the very best ones. There’s no limit – we need a lot! And, for every bullet we choose, we’ll…
- Pay you $10
- Sing your praises in a future issue of The Golden Thread
- Use your winning bullets in one of our upcoming promotions
So… study the examples Guillermo gave you yesterday and what I’ve included above. (You can even use them as templates!)
And, as you’re writing, remember that bullets are like mini headlines. They should grab your prospect’s attention and force him to keep reading. They should do one or more of the following:
- Provoke deep-seated emotional benefits
- Build curiosity
- Tease the reader into wanting to know more
- Build urgency in your prospect’s mind to make him want to buy right away
Good luck!

Katie Yeakle
