What’s the final step?
You need to develop a client-attraction mindset.
By always putting your mental focus on how you can attract clients to you (versus chasing after them), you’ll have a more successful business to boot. And you’ll have a much more enjoyable — and easy — time marketing yourself.
If you look at the careers of the super-successful, high-earning copywriters out there, you’ll find they focus on getting clients to come to them.
When you focus on this attraction mindset, you increase your expertise and value in your potential client’s eyes. When you chase after them, you tend to push them away.
It’s human nature to want what is hard to get as opposed to what’s readily available. Think back on a time when someone you knew was being needy and wanted your attention 24/7. How often did you want to be around that person?

Finally, don’t forget that marketing is a process.
You need to do something. Every … single … day. Tweet something and gain new followers. Make a phone call to a potential client. Send out a mailing. Reach out to someone via email. Go to a networking event. Put an ad in a trade magazine. Go to a trade show.
The more action you take consistently, the more your marketing “power” will build. Like the proverbial snowball, your marketing will gain momentum — and before you know it, you’ll have a consistent flow of clients knocking on your door. You’ll be in control of your business. You’ll have less stress and the kind of financial freedom that lets you live your life on your terms.
