Customer Service Representative for AWAI’s Travel Division
American Writers & Artists Inc. (AWAI) is looking to hire a Customer Services Representative for our Travel Writing and Photography division.
This is a great opportunity to work in beautiful downtown Delray Beach, Florida, with a fun, growing and dynamic group of talented people who care about helping people live the exciting and romantic life of a travel writer and/or travel photographer.
Primary duties of the Travel Division Customer Services representative:
- Communicate by phone and email with new and current customers … specifically registering them for programs and events, answering questions, solving problems, and more.
- Work closely with marketing and product development teams to be sure ordering processing is running smoothly … involves updating database as instructed and daily product fulfillment oversight.
- Maintain customer records in database
- Stay current on programs offered so can speak about them comfortably with customers.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer skills – must be able to search the internet and troubleshoot customer issues on our websites.
- Strong attention to detail – must be able to execute directions with 100% accuracy.
- Critical thinking and ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Clear speaking voice.
- 2 years experience in professional working environment.
- Some domestic and international travel
Preferred:
- Customer Service experience
- College degree
- Love of travel
- Love to take pictures or write in a journal
- Some experience using an SLR camera
