Impossibly Possible
“If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.”
- Henry Ford
It was 1929.
Henry Ford’s Model A cars were losing ground in sales and horsepower to the Chevrolet 6-cylinder cars.
Ford decided it would be best to not try to match the competition. Instead, he’d leapfrog over them and create a single-block, 8-cylinder engine that could be affordably mass-produced.
He was determined to accomplish this … and hired as many as four separate engineering teams to create a workable design.
“It’s impossible!” he kept hearing. Ford pressed on.
Finally, he struck gold in the fall of 1930. Two of his engineers presented him with a prototype V8 engine, the first ever of its kind.
The impossible became possible.
I wanted to share this story with you today because I think it illustrates something very important to your success as a copywriter.
Now, there are a few lessons to be learned here – but there’s one I think that’s probably more critical to your success than the others.
Can you guess what it is? (It’s not as obvious as you might think … )
Check out the article I recently wrote for the answer called, The One Thing You'll Absolutely Need On Your Path to Success.
Also, if there’s another lesson you find here that you feel is important or has helped you in the past, why not share it in the comments section below?
Finally, remember that your attitude plays a great part in your success. As a copywriter, that means feeling confident in what you’re doing and moving forward, even when the “going gets tough.”

Perhaps Thoreau is good to quote here:
“If one advances confidently in the direction of one's dreams, and endeavors to live the life which one has imagined, one will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
This quote is absolutely true. I wish I could sit you down with a cup of coffee, stare at you in complete silence until I had your uncomfortable attention and tell you: "You CAN be the writer and you CAN live the life you've imagined. Trust me. Just advance... confidently."
