Congratulations …
Steve Coombes Is Our Newest Wall of Fame Member!
Steve was making good money as a software engineer, but felt he wasn't spending enough time with his wife and seven kids. Steve's "eureka moment" came after rushing out the door to get to a job interview. As he shut the door, he heard his 5-year old son say to his 4-year old, "Daddy doesn't have time to give you a hug".
On the hour-long drive to the interview for a job he didn't really want, Steve had a lot of time to think. As he explains,
"It was at that moment that I vowed to no longer be at the mercy of some employer to determine our family's financial well-being. No longer would I be chained to a desk an hour away from my family, working at a job I didn't love, with no control over my own time.
"Although it took a little longer than I originally planned, I now work from home, control my own income, and do what I love. Most important, I now have time to give my kids a hug and a kiss whenever I want!"
Steve's proudest copywriting moment was opening the envelope from his first paid assignment. "When I pulled out my check, I finally knew deep down inside that I could really make it as a copywriter."
Steve specializes in web copywriting, and has a goal to make $80,000 this year. On a recent family trip, it hit him that he was living "the writer's life".
"Last November, at the spur of the moment, we decided to extend our vacation from one week to three weeks. We didn't have to ask some boss if it was okay, or worry about how much vacation time we had left. We just packed up the truck and hit the road!"

Thanks Anne & Lee!
My 11 year old just saw my Wall of Fame page for the first time today and said "Dad, you're famous!"
Don't know about that yet, but maybe someday!
