of the Wealthy Web Writer
“Your Wish is Our Command” Contest
You'll recall that last month we ran a contest for our new Wealthy Web Writer website.
We asked you to give us your best ideas for making this the BEST membership site possible – something that would dramatically accelerate your success on the web.
Boy, did you ever come through!
We had dozens of suggestions, many of which we'll be implementing over time. It wasn't easy picking the winners, and my team went back and forth on the top group like a hung jury.
But we did it. So, without further ado (drum roll, please), here are the winners of our Wealthy Web Writer contest:
First Place
Our first place winner gets:
- A $2,000 gift card that can be used to purchase ANY products from the AWAI store; AND …
- One full year PAID Platinum Membership on the new Wealthy Web Writer website
Congratulations go to Anna Morris for her idea on creating a copy buddy or coaching program. She suggested that we all need "someone like us" to talk to about our copy, as well as someone with whom we can seek advice and counsel.
Anna, you'll be happy to know that your suggestion is already in the works. We've created a "Member Profile" and added a few custom fields that will allow you to find others with similar interests who might also want a copy buddy or coach.

Second Place
Our second place winner, Keisha Foster, had two great ideas for us. The first is to create an "Online Swipe File" with examples of good online writing pieces and markups explaining why they were selected.
Keisha's second idea was for us to create "Mind Maps" – visual representations – of various aspects of the training we'll have online.
Great ideas, Keisha! We're going to rely heavily on you and other members to help fill the swipe file, so we'll have a section in the members-only forum specifically for this purpose. We'll take the best of these and add them to the members-only area of the website for easy access.
And you can be certain that we'll be working on those mind maps! I’m a huge fan and use them in many areas of my professional and personal life. (If you’re not familiar with mind maps, you can read an article I wrote about them earlier this year.)
As our second place winner, Keisha will receive:

Third, Fourth and Fifth Places
Deciding who came in third, fourth or fifth place was excruciatingly difficult. There were SO many great suggestions!
The third place award of a $500 gift card to the AWAI store and a year's free membership on the Wealthy Web Writer website goes to Mark Henderson for his idea of having a "Monthly Virtual Hot Seat." Mark … how about you being first up? Pick your niche and we'll find the expert to grill you on your copy.
Fourth pace (a $250 gift card and one-year membership) goes to Donna Kaluzniak for her idea of presenting a "featured money-making website" each month, along with a commentary of why it's so successful. Donna, send us a site you'd like us to analyze and I’ll ask Nick Usborne to get right on it!
And fifth place (a one-year paid membership to our new site) goes to Andrea Williams. Andrea's idea may take a bit longer for us to get up to speed, but it's a brilliant idea. She suggested that we create an "Apprentice Accelerator" program, where we get real businesses to submit real jobs. Members can "vie" for the job by submitting their entries – LIVE and online. Talk about exposure! The best entry receives payment for the assignment.
