AWAI Writing Challenge:
What Does “The Writer’s Life” Mean to You?
This week’s topic: Tell us in 1,000 words or less what “the writer’s life” means to you.
If you’re already living it … tell us how your life has changed since becoming a copywriter … your new daily routine (or lack of routine) … the new freedom you enjoy to travel or work on your favorite hobby … the memories created from being able to do more with your kids … the time saved by not having to commute to an office every day … how it feels to not have to answer to a boss … and so on. We want to hear it all!
If you’re not quite there yet … tell us what your hopes and dreams are … really visualize what it will be like to achieve your copywriting goals … how your life will be improved for the better. Paint a picture of exactly what living “the writer’s life” will mean to you.
Send your essay to me at kyeakle@awaionline.com with “The Writer’s Life” in the subject line.
One winner will be selected from all entries received. Winner will get a $50 gift certificate to AWAI’s eBookstore and will have his or her essay published on the AWAI website.
Deadline for this week’s challenge: May 5, 2009
The winner will be announced in next week’s issue of Inside AWAI.
