Every Interaction Matters
In my yoga class this morning, the instructor told us one of our fellow classmates had passed away. And even though she wasn’t close with this person, she was involved in a piece of his life through yoga practice, and so she still felt connected.
Then, as she always does, she started the class with something to think about during our practice today: Every interaction you have, with everyone you encounter in life, matters.
At first, my mind thought about the people I encounter every day in my life. People at the store, my friends, my neighbors, etc. But then my mind crossed over – as it usually does – to my professional life.
Every day I interact with people through AWAI – members, copywriters, colleagues and partners, marketers – it’s a big part of my job. I never know which ones are going to have an impact on my day, my job, the company, or even my personal life. And I’m often surprised looking back just how much some of those interactions do end up making an impact at some level.
And then my mind crossed over to you, and what I would write about today.
When building your freelance web business, every interaction you have, with every person you encounter in life, matters. So don’t take any of them for granted. Whether it’s a client, a fellow writer, a business owner, or a friend, you never know when you’ll be talking to a future client, someone who can connect you to your next client, someone who can teach you something, or someone who will inspire your next blog posting …
Every interaction matters.

Hi Everyone! As I've been extremely busy lately, I was very surprised at my response to Every Interaction Matters, but am pleased to give a favorable vote to Rebecca's observations. In fact, when I first started reading the article it was with a Ho-Hum attitude, but then I got into what was being said and had to respond in order to maintain my own integrity.
