Achieving Goals - What Do You Want?
It’s funny how sometimes a simple question or comment, can make such a big impact on your life. Last week at the Web Copywriting Intensive, I invited my friend and colleague Joshua Boswell to kick off the festivities.
Did I invite him for his charm and charisma? Or his ability to charge up any room he enters?
No … although he certainly has those qualities!
I invited him because he was once a first-time attendee, sitting in the audience on the first day of a targeted Intensive, having put a lot of hope and faith in the hands of AWAI, and wondering if he made the right decision. After breaking the six-figure barrier that same year, and making well over $200K this past year, I knew he would ease their minds, so that they could focus on their attention 100% on what they needed to learn from our web experts.
“What do you want?”
That’s the question he asked the attendees. I didn’t know it at the time, but looking back now realize he gave us a pretty big gift.
Because if you don’t know what you want, how the heck will you know when you’re successful? And you certainly can’t make an action plan if you don’t know what you’re trying to accomplish.
Answer these questions for yourself today:
What do you want?
How will you know when you get it?
And what will getting it mean to you?

Rebecca, Just a note of sincere thanks for your huge encouragement at the Austin Web-Copywriting seminar! I came home with a wealth of knowledge, but, perhaps, more importantly, a keen sense of appreciation of AWAI - its people. I left Austin with the certainty that I had spent my money wisely, and, it wasn't simply because of the "bleeding-edge" web-copying tips presented. I discovered AWAI's ethics. It was a vindication of all the fears I harbored before pursuing a copywriting career. I cannot imagine a better-conceived support system than AWAI for a budding web-copywriter. I am witness that AWAI is the "real deal, Neal!" There is truth in what you told me at the seminar - "Where I succeed, AWAI succeeds." David Ringel - fledgling copywriter

LOVED the copywriting intensive! And I have to say when Joshua asked those three questions, the one that really stopped me in my tracks was 3. When I realized what it would mean to me, it became real, rather than a dream. Thanks a million for everything!

I don't know where to start. There are so many opportunities and possibilities with AWAI...I feel like a mosquito in a nudist colony.
O.K., Business to Business, the Web, email Autoresponder. There...that's better...a path...with goals. Full time by the end of May, 2010. Whew! Here we go! See you in November!
