Three Places to Use Key Phrases

  1. In the title tag: This is the title at the top of the page in your Internet browser. It should use your most important key phrase.
  2. In hyperlinks: Part of the appeal of the Web is its interactivity. Search engines look at your copy for usefulness and relevance. They consider hyperlinks that link to further relevant information to be very important. Appropriately using your key phrases in these links can increase your rankings.
  3. In headlines and sub-heads: Headlines and sub-heads are good places for key phrases … provided you don’t sacrifice your strong benefit statements. Remember – good direct-response copy always comes first.
