Three Quick Tips for Writing Better Copy for Information Products

  1. Keep it Current: Whether you are writing about financial investments, alternative health options, or travel, you can make your piece more powerful by using current news stories. You’ll heighten the emotions of your readers, and you’ll build credibility, too.
  2. Keep it Focused: Often information product sales are based on a sense of urgency. Identify the source of urgency along with your reader’s dominant emotion, and keep your package focused on those two things.
  3. Stay Informed: Whatever industry you are writing for, keep up with what is happening in that industry. By knowing trends, predictions, and the general psyche of your market, you’ll be able to better connect with your readers … and that will make them more likely to buy.
