You're Making Us Proud!
On Wednesday of last week, I heard from four AWAIers telling me about jobs they landed. I love it! And, the best part is that they all used different AWAI approaches to find the work. Or, in Joshua Boswell's case, to have the work find him …
Here's Joshua's note to me: "Yesterday, I got an email from a guy I'd never met, contacted, or heard from before. After speaking to him, I ended up landing an $8,500 assignment, with another six assignments promised in the future. How did he find me? On http://www.directresponsejobs.com/."
Next, Mary Proctor called to tell me that of the six prospecting letters she sent out in December, she's had three positive responses so far – including one job that could lead to a very well-paying, ongoing freelance gig.
Then Bill Z. dashed off this email to me: "Katie: I just received my first paid assignment from a major natural health products marketer. This job is a direct result of last November's Bootcamp Job Fair. I'm on my way!"
The fourth person I heard from on Wednesday asked me not to share his news quite yet. He hadn't signed the contract … but expects to this week. It's a multi-part assignment from a real estate marketer that could easily lead to steady work. His method of choice: offering to write a letter on spec.
I'm sharing these stories because (1) I'm so proud of these folks … they are making their dreams happen, and (2) I want to inspire you to do the same.
I've just given you great examples of four proven methods for finding clients that are available to you – DirectResponseJobs.com, sending prospecting letters, participating in our Bootcamp Job Fair, offering to do work on spec. Pick any or all of them. Before you know it, I'll be telling the world how proud I am of you.
Action Plan: If you haven't yet checked out DirectResponseJobs.com recently, do so today at: http://www.directresponsejobs.com/.

“While no job anywhere is secure these days, Michigan, where I live, has been particularly hard-hit. My copywriting income has definitely increased our peace of mind in a very uncertain economy.”
