If you've ever written something like "You'll receive our investment advisory bi-monthly," you're coming perilously close to confusing your prospect. Using a "bi-" word is NEVER a good thing … and can cause lost sales.
Does bi-monthly mean every two months, as some people think? Or does it mean twice a month, as others believe?
What about bi-weekly or bi-annually?
When I researched a number of reliable sources, I found that "bi-" can mean BOTH – every two weeks/months/years or twice a week/month/year! How's that for being really confusing?
