Quick Tip: 3 Simple “To-Do” List Strategies
One of the most effective ways to implement your goal-setting program is with a daily “to-do” list. Here are three simple strategies that will help you manage this useful tool:
- Write all the things you need to accomplish during the day on scratch paper. Then prioritize these tasks before you enter them on your formal to-do list.
- When you accomplish a task on your list, cross it out with a bold stroke. This is a surprisingly strong way to motivate yourself to keep on doing more.
- Anything on your to-do list that doesn’t get done should be carried over to the next day’s list – with one exception. If you’ve carried something over all week – and it’s still there on Friday – delegate it to someone else. Or face the fact that it’s not much of a priority for you … and dump it.
