Hi Pat,
I’m writing to ask a rather curious question. Do you know where I could rent … buy … gain access to mailing lists? I’m asking for a client who is currently looking for lists to send an email campaign promoting her book and online course.
I thought I’d ask you since this client found me on the Direct Response Jobs site. Thank you AWAI!! We’ve developed a great relationship. I have written numerous projects for them and now they need some promotional help – specifically, obtaining lists for purchase. Any ideas?

Congratulations on making such a great connection through www.directresponsejobs.com. It sounds like you’re building a lasting business relationship.
There are hundreds and hundreds of List Brokers who specialize in renting names to direct marketers who will be happy to help your client. You can find them through the Direct Marketing Association and/or trade papers like DMNews or Target Marketing. Bob Bly even lists a few that he recommends on his website, www.bly.com.

Yes, I am finally buckling down and starting the copywriting program that I signed up for last September. (Hey, better late than never!) I am enjoying the program, and have already learned so much.
