Quick Tip:
Directory of Newsletters

Experts say you’ll need between 300 and 600 names on your prospect list when launching your self-marketing campaign. Where to start?

Here’s one resource that Clayton Makeppeace used to kick-start his 7-figure career:

The Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters (ODN) lists over 72,000 newsletters in the U.S. and Canada. It retails for $995, and precious few libraries carry a current copy. But you can access the 30-day "keyword search" option for only $49.95.

Go to www.mediafinder.com. Click on "Keyword Search" on the left. The 30-day option allows you to search according to many categories: health, finance, etc. Use this option to get each newsletter’s full address and contact info.

You’ll want to use your word processor’s Mail Merge feature to send out self-promotional letters in volume. We’ll discuss Mail Merge next week. Meanwhile, we highly recommend that you look into Peachpit Press’s Visual Quickstart Guides for your word processor, available on Amazon.com and eBay.
