5 Quick Copywriting Secrets

At this year's bootcamp, Michael Masterson gave us these tips for writing great copy:

  1. Be authentic.
  2. Find a simple, strong story that exemplifies a benefit and implies a deeper benefit.
  3. Keep it simple – one big idea per package, one key testimonial, one big promise.
  4. Make your copy detailed.
  5. Say it as economically as possible.

If you take the time to do the job right, you should be able to nail the last three tips. We addressed the importance of Tip No. 1 in a previous article and we'll cover Tip No. 2 next week when John Forde tells us how to reveal deeper benefits.
