AWAI's $10,000 Student Challenge

I've seen enough student copy to know that we have some pretty talented writers out there. That's why when Katie said she'd pay $10,000 to any student who could beat our current copywriting control, I knew I was about to find a new writer.
Here's the deal:
This is an ongoing contest. We will never turn away good copy…especially copy that has the potential to beat our existing control.
To enter, send us your best headline and lead. Show us what you've learned so far. Use all the tools in your "copywriting toolbox." Simply send it as an attachment in Word to memberservices@awaionline.com with "Copy Test Submission" in the subject line of your email. (Be sure to include your name and contact details in your attachment as well as in your email.)
Katie, our marketing team, and I will do a panel review – just like we do with copy we receive from the pros. If your headline and lead score high, we'll give you the go-ahead to send us a full direct mail package.
We'll do another in-house peer review when we get your full package. If we decide to test your effort, you'll receive additional comments from Don, Paul or Michael. (We're going to do everything we can to help you be our first $10,000 winner!)
From there we'll get your package ready for mailing. We'll test is against our current control. If your letter wins, you will receive a check from us for $10,000
I hope this inspires anyone who may be sitting on the sidelines. AWAI student Peter Fogel beat our control over a year ago. And, we're mailing packages from students Krista Jones and Stuart J. in the next few months. You could be next!
